ReFashion I ReCycle I ReDeploy
When founder and proud mother of a United States Marine Amy Cotta sent her son away to bootcamp, she feverishly looked for a way to feel connected to him- a way that showed sincere love and gratitude for both her son as well as all those who served before and will serve after him. Unhappy with the garish patriotic fashions or cheap jewelry made in China she continued to find as the years progressed, Amy Cotta made her own wrist cuff from a pair of her son’s utility pants found in their attic and the first ValorBAND was born! Since that fateful day in 2014, Wearable Gratitude™ has taken in numerous uniform donations and used them to ReFashion items into wearable, tangible reminders of the men and women who have served our country, and are a unique and fashionable way to honor our country’s military past, present, and future.
